We’re proud to announce Jasper as our October Member of the Month!

Jasper has been a dedicated member of the club for over two years. As a huge boxing fan, his absolute favorite thing to do at the club is a heavy bag workout. He loves nothing more than throwing on his gloves and getting some rounds in on the bag, closely following his top three favorite fighters right now: Terence Crawford, Jaron “Boots” Ennis, and David Benavidez. When he isn’t boxing, his go-to exercise is the incline bench press.

For Jasper, fitness is about much more than appearance. Working in the healthcare field, he sees firsthand how vital health, mobility, and independence become as we age. This professional perspective has deeply shaped his personal fitness philosophy: he views every workout not just as something for today, but as a long-term investment in the person he wants to be 10, 20, and 30 years down the road.

Through his fitness journey, Jasper has made significant progress with his weight and overall fitness. More importantly, he has mastered the art of patience and discipline. He believes that consistency matters far more than motivation, knowing that real change takes time and requires showing up even on the days you don’t feel like it.

Outside of the gym, Jasper is a true lifelong learner. He is currently working toward his master’s degree in healthcare administration at UCLA. He also enjoys playing chess, reading, and spending quality time with his family. He is a passionate sports fan who loves football, basketball, and boxing—proudly cheering on the 49ers (Bang Bang Niner Gang!) and remaining a lifelong Lakers fan.

Jasper is incredibly grateful for this recognition, but he also wanted to share a special message of appreciation for the Active at NorthBay team. He notes that life can throw a lot at people, but the warmth, kindness, and authenticity of the staff make a massive difference the moment members walk through the door. Because of the welcoming environment, the club has truly become less of a place he simply goes to work out, and more of a place where he feels like he is working out with family.

Congratulations, Jasper, and thank you for being such an inspiring part of our community!
