GENERAL INFO
What are your hours of operation?
Monday–Thursday: 5am-9pm
Friday: 5am-7pm
Saturday–Sunday: 7am-3pm
Can I tour the club before joining?
Yes! Call us at (707) 624‑8080, email northbay@activewellnesscenter.com, or visit the Service Desk to schedule a tour.
Do you offer guest or day passes?
Yes! We offer complimentary 3-day guest pass available for first-time local adult guests (18+). Request yours by completing the short form on our website here, or contact us at 707-624-8080 or northbay@activewellnesscenter.com.
Day passes are also available for purchase by repeat or out-of-town guests; please contact the club for current pricing.
MEMBERSHIP & BILLING
What membership options are available?
We offer Individual, Senior (65+), Youth (13–17), and Children’s Memberships. Discounts are available for:
- NorthBay Health employees
- Military, police and firefighters
- Students
- Corporate partners
Can I add someone to my membership?
Yes, you can add adults or children to your membership. We offer flexible options to accommodate families and household members.
Do add-ons have to live in the same household?
No, they just need to be billed to the same EFT (electronic funds transfer) account.
To explore add-on options and rates, contact the Service Desk or your membership representative.
What ages are youth memberships?
Youth memberships are available for ages 13-17 years old.
Kids Club membership are also available for ages 2-12 years old.
Is there a NorthBay Health employee discount?
Yes, NorthBay Health employees receive preferred pricing for themselves and their partner or spouse. NorthBay Health employees may contact contact the Service Desk or northbay@activewellnesscenter.com to enroll.
Do you offer Silver Sneakers?
No, we do not partner with Silver Sneakers. However, we do partner with Western Health Advantage insurance for those who are eligible. Learn more here. Additionally we offer discounted pricing for seniors, ages 65+.
Do you offer student or military discounts?
Yes, we offer discounted membership rates for the following groups:
- Students (must show valid student ID and current class schedule)
- Seniors (ages 65+)
- Active military, police, and firefighters
What do new members receive when they join Active Wellness Center?
New members receive:
- 2 complimentary sessions with a Personal Trainer
- 1 free InBody body composition scan
- 1 complimentary ZONE small group training intro session
- 1 complimentary Pilates Reformer session
- 5 VIP Welcome Passes to Share with Friends
*First-time local guests.
How do I join as a new member?

Can I place my membership on hold?
Yes. Holds are available for $25/month (up to 90 days/year). Medical holds are free with a physician’s note.
How do I cancel my membership?
Cancellations are accepted by phone, email, or through our website and will be applied to the next billing cycle. A 30-day notice is required. You can submit your cancellation by:

Can I cancel my membership online?
Yes, you may cancel online by submitting the form here.
Are there cancellation fees?
There are no cancellation fees. All memberships are month-to-month. A 30-day notice is required to process your cancellation.

What amenities are included at Active Wellness Center at NorthBay Health?
The three-story facility at 1020 Nut Tree Road is the ultimate fitness and wellness destination in Vacaville offering:
- More than 53,000 square feet of fitness
- The latest cardio and strength training equipment
- Dedicated boutique fitness studios for indoor cycling, yoga, boxing, small group training, and heart-rate training
- Indoor therapy pool, whirlpool, recreation pool and 25-yard indoor lap pool
- Indoor walking/running track
- Unlimited group fitness class favorites
- Personal Training services
- Medically integrated fitness programs
- Recovery and restorative programs, including massage and Red Light therapy

Do you have locker rooms & showers?
Yes! Our locker rooms include showers, changing areas, day-lockers, and towel service, along with the following personal amenities:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Body wash
- Body lotion
- Cotton swabs
- Mouthwash
- Vitamin E face cleansing wipes
Are lockers available?
Yes! We provide free day-use lockers that you can set digitally when you arrive. You also have the option to rent a private locker to store your belongings between visits.
Are towels provided?
Yes! Towel service is included with membership.
Do you have sauna and steam rooms?
No, we do not currently offer a sauna or steam room at this location. However, we do have a whirlpool and an indoor therapy pool to help you relax and unwind.
PROGRAMS
PERSONAL TRAINING
What Personal Training options are available?
We provide one-on-one and buddy training, plus custom programs for strength, endurance, weight loss, or rehab support.
Do members get fitness assessments?
Yes. All new members receive a complimentary InBody scan and 2 sessions with a Personal Trainer.
How do I book a session?
Visit the service desk or email northbay.trainers@activewellnesscenter.com to get started.
Aquatics & Swim Lessons
Are the pools open regularly?
The lap pool, therapy pool, and whirlpool are open during club hours. Lap swim is available by reservation (via the Mindbody app or at the Service Desk).
*Please note that the pools are closed for cleaning every Tuesday and Friday from 1pm-2p
Do you offer swim lessons?
Yes. Group and private lessons are available for all ages (from 3 months+ to adult), as well as swim clubs for youth, teens, and adults.
Do members get a discount on swim lessons?
Yes. Members receive preferred pricing on all swim lessons and aquatics programs.
How do I sign up for swim lessons?
Contact northbay.aquatics@activewellnesscenter.com or visit the Aquatics desk in-club.
Is childcare available?
Yes. Active Kids Club offers fun, supervised play for children ages 2–12.
Kids Club Hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 3:30 pm–7:30 pm
- Saturday: 8:30 am–12:30 pm
- Closed Friday & Sunday
Kids Club Rates:
- $50/month per child
- $15/day for members
- $20/day for non-members
*Rates are effective August 2025 (may be subject to change)
Do you offer summer camps?
Yes! We offer seasonal kids’ camps for ages 5-12 with optional swim lesson add-ons. Parent Nights Out are also offered throughout the year. To see upcoming events and programs, check our calendar on the Active Kids page here.
Group Fitness & Classes
What types of group classes do you offer?
We offer strength training, HIIT, yoga, Pilates, cycling, aqua fitness, boxing, and more. Classes are included with membership.
Do I need to register in advance?
Classes require pre-registration via the Active Wellness Center app or at the front desk.
Are group classes beginner-friendly?
Yes! Our certified instructors offer modifications for all fitness levels.
Pilates Programs
What Pilates programs do you offer?
We offer standard mat Pilates classes, which are included with your membership. These classes focus on core strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness.
We also offer Pilates Reformer sessions, a specialized and fee-based program using reformer machines to provide resistance-based training for deeper muscle engagement, improved performance, and injury prevention.

Massage & Red Light Therapy
Do you offer massage therapy?
Yes. Our licensed massage therapists offer relaxation and therapeutic services for stress relief, muscle recovery, and circulation.
What massage types are available?
We offer hot stone, deep tissue, and other custom treatments.
Is massage discounted for members?
Yes. Members receive preferred pricing.
Do you offer red light therapy?
Yes. Red Light Therapy is available using LightStim LED panels. It promotes muscle recovery, skin health, and pain relief.
Pricing:
- $100/month for members (12 sessions/month, 30 minutes each)
- $220/month for non-members
- Single sessions available via Mindbody

How do I book massage or red light therapy?
Book through your Mindbody account, the mobile app, or at the Service Desk. You can also email northbay@activewellnesscenter.com.
The ZONE Heart-Rate Based Training
What is The ZONE?
The ZONE is a heart-rate based, coach-led small group training program designed to help you maximize your workouts using real-time feedback. Using a Myzone heart-rate monitor, you’ll train in different intensity zones tailored to your fitness goals for improved results.
How does The ZONE compare to other workouts?
The ZONE is a high-energy, results-driven workout that combines cardio, strength training, and personalized heart-rate monitoring. Each session is coached in a small group setting, so you get motivation, guidance, and accountability while training at the right intensity for your goals. Unlike traditional classes, The ZONE is customized to your fitness level, helping you maximize results safely and efficiently.

What are other benefits to training in The ZONE at Active?
Compared to local studios that only offer a single type of workout, The ZONE at Active gives you access to full health club amenities, including childcare, locker rooms, showers, and recovery services. This makes it easy to fit your workout seamlessly into your busy day while enjoying a complete fitness experience.
What do I need to try The ZONE?
Just come in comfortable workout clothes and bring a water bottle. You don’t need to own a Myzone monitor; we will provide a temporary monitor for your first session. Simply check in at the service desk or contact a membership representative to get started.
What are the costs for The ZONE?
- Intro session: Free for new members as part of your new member benefits.
- Available exclusively for Active members, upgrade to receive unlimited monthly membership for The ZONE at just $50/month (plus Myzone belt or app subscription fees). Active membership dues also apply.
Can I try The ZONE for free?
Yes! New members receive a complimentary intro session. Reach out to the service desk to schedule your free trial, or contact us at northbay@activewellnesscenter.com or (707) 624‑8080.
How do I book The ZONE sessions?

Do you have a mobile app?
Yes! Active Wellness Center has its own mobile app designed to help you manage your membership, book classes, track your workouts, and stay connected with the club. You can easily view schedules, register for group fitness classes, and receive club updates-all from your phone.
We also use Mindbody for class reservations and membership management. You can download the Mindbody app to browse class schedules, book your spot, and manage appointments conveniently. Both apps work together to give you a seamless wellness experience.
