We’re pleased to highlight our September Member of the Month, Anne!
“I’ve been a member of Active for 8 years. I joined the club when I moved to Petaluma after I retired from the city and County of San Francisco. I wanted to move to a warmer climate and live in a place with a real sense of community. I found that in Petaluma, and more specifically at Active Wellness Center.
Swimming is my passion, but I’m well aware that as we age we lose strength and muscle mass and I’ve had both hips replaced since I moved north. I started working out with Cory last November and have felt a huge improvement in my core strength and mobility. I feel stronger than I have in decades.
I love the friends I’ve made at the club, both members and staff. Active at Petaluma has become family for me.
Outside of my exercise routine, I am fortunate that all three of my children and their families live in the Bay Area. I love spending time with them and my grands! I am a huge animal lover and have two goofy rescue dogs and a cat. I’m also an avid reader and share books with my pool friends. And I love the Petaluma climate and have a beautiful garden that I work on daily.
Honestly, I have no idea how I ever found the time to work! I’m busy all the time.”
