Meet Sophie Corona

You may recognize this smiling face from the Service Desk, but you’ll be seeing her on the gym floor more these days. We want to welcome Sophie to the Personal Training department and let you get to know her.

Sophie is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and is continuing her education, going to school to get a degree in Kinesiology. She specializes in Strength Training and makes it a priority for herself to #LiveActivley everyday, whether that’s getting in a lift at the gym, taking a group class, going on a walk, hiking with her mom, or anything that will get her moving and living a healthier lifestyle!

Q&A with Sophie

  • How long have you been a team member?

I have been a team member at Active since we opened up back in July.

  • What is your favorite thing to do at the Club as a member?

My favorite thing to do at the club is lift on the third floor.

  • What is your favorite thing about working at Active?

My favorite part about working at Active is getting to build relationships with not only my coworkers, but also with the members I get to see on a daily basis and getting to be a part of their fitness journeys.

  • What motivates you to stay active?

I stay motivated by seeing physical activity as a lifestyle rather than a chore and finding different forms of exercise that I love and enjoy doing.

  • How has being a member here/working here/working with a trainer helped you?

Working at Active and being surrounded by like-minded people who love fitness, as well as being able to see everyone’s progress throughout their fitness journeys has helped me stay motivated in the gym and led me to become a Personal Trainer!

  • What are your favorite hobbies outside of the Club?

My favorite hobbies are working out, hanging out with my friends and family, and going to concerts.

  • Fun fact

I’ve jumped out of a plane before.

Sophie’s Philosophy

“ I strive to help each client reach their fitness goals while falling in love with the process. I believe everyone’s fitness journey is different and should be a lifestyle change that is enjoyable and sustainable rather than a short term remedy. Fitness comes in so many different forms, and I want to be able to work with each individual to find their own passion that allows them to become the strongest, healthiest, and happiest version of themselves.”
