“This is the first gym I’ve joined where I feel like I truly belong.”

It’s always clean, usually quiet, and no ‘gym bro’ vibes at all (iykyk). The equipment is well maintained and the pools are fabulous. I love doing my post-workout cooldown in the lap pool (cardio and literally cooler) and then spending a little bit of time in the spa to work on sore muscles. It’s a great way to start my day.

“Lisa, the Swim Director, runs an absolutely phenomenal program.”

Her leadership, dedication, and passion for teaching kids how to swim are truly unmatched. My son had previously struggled with two different instructors elsewhere and still couldn’t swim. But after joining Lisa’s program, everything changed—he went from not swimming at all to confidently swimming! We are beyond grateful for Lisa and her team. The difference she has made in my son’s swimming journey is nothing short of amazing.

“This gym has become a happy place for me.”

I joined this gym in the winter of 2023 mainly because of their indoor walking path. I am a senior, so through my health plan with Kaiser’s Silver & Fit program, my dues are $24 a month.

As a new member, I took advantage of a free meeting with personal trainer Jacki Rooney. After showing me an exercise routine, she recommended a couple of group classes, including an hour-long stretch class that I now attend regularly. I have since no longer suffered from sciatica & now feel more limber.

Aside from the instructors & classes, the gym is impressive! Awesome service with very friendly staff & super clean. Bathroom amenities are resort-style with multiple hair dryers, clean showers & dressing rooms, thick towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, deodorant, Q-tips, hair ties, makeup remover, Kleenex & mouthwash.
This gym has become a happy place for me. Thank you, Active Wellness Center, for keeping me active & well.

“Wow! Just wow. This gym has EVERYTHING you need.“

Lots of free weights. An abundance of high-end multipurpose racks. Loads and loads of every cardio machine you could want. Multiple pools. Large spin studio with at least 20 to 25 high-end spin bikes. It goes on and on. Pilates, floor exercise classes, yoga…
The locker rooms are high-end with every detail taken care of, including towels, toiletries, hair dryers, even razors and Q-tips. Highly recommend, at the very minimum, check it out with a free one-day guest pass. Super clean facility, and ALL of the employees are so upbeat and friendly.

On another plus side, the outdoor pool is uncrowded in the summer and a very pleasant place to hang out.

Bottom line: this is an excellent local find for seniors, families and anyone who prizes a quiet and stress-free space to get their reps in.

“Joined Active Wellness Center recently and can’t stop saying how great it is.”

So far, I’ve found the facility immaculate thanks to the employees constantly cleaning. The free weight area is well equipped with incline benches that are unfortunately in short supply at other health clubs.

Their weight machines are on two separate floors but grouped well so you’re staying on one floor at a time depending on what muscle groups you are working. A few machines are in areas off to the side of the main floors but easy to find and convenient, gives a nice change of environment between different exercises.

The locker room has been very well kept when I have been in it, lots of good touches making it comfortable. Active Wellness Center is more expensive than some of the other health clubs in Vacaville but, if you’re serious about maintaining a healthy level of physical fitness in a peaceful and pristine environment, then I highly suggest you give them a try. Can’t wait until my next workout
